BioGTS has concluded an agreement to deliver a gas-to-power generation system to South Vietnam. The system, with production capacity up to 720 kW, utilizes raw biogas that is collected from the current landfill for electricity and heat generation. BioGTS’s solutions are factory-made, pre-fabricated units that are ready to be installed on-site. The delivery of such system helps the customer to significantly reduce emission as well as production costs through self-generated electricity.

The components are scheduled to be delivered to Vietnam during the summer; the on-site installation will begin in the fourth quarter of 2018, and full operation is expected by the end of 2018. Technology partner of the project is 2G Energy AG.

Mika Rautiainen, the CEO of BioGTS, sees the project as an important first step for opening door to the Vietnam’s market. “The waste-to-energy sector is growing very rapidly in Vietnam at the moment. We are very excited to be part of that growth”, says Mr. Rautiainen.

Just last week, BioGTS was announced as the top growth company of 2017 in the region of Central and Eastern Finland, for the third year in a row, by Kauppalehti, the main business publication in Finland.
