The Keskisuomalainen newspaper has reported that there are no technological obstacles to biogas motoring any more, just that the awareness of consumers regarding biogas motoring needs to be increased.
According to Outi Pakarinen, an expert from the Finnish Biogas Association, there is sufficient production of gas, cars of different makes and models are available and the transportation network of the gas to fuelling stations is beginning to be in order. For Central Finland, the situation will improve further because Jyväskylä is getting a new biogas plant in Mustankorkea. There is no piece missing any more, except for the consumers, says Pakarinen.
