BioGTS’s new biogas plant concept called “BIOBOKSI: Biomethane cost-effectively for transportation use” has made it to the final five of the Gasum Innovation Competition. The public is being asked to watch the video about the top-notch ideas and give their vote. Please follow this link to get to the Gasum’s voting site and vote for our innovation BIOBOKSI, the new biogas plant concept, to victory.
BIOBOKSI is a Finnish, compact and standardized biogas plant solution, which is based on a new technology for the production of biogas for transportation use. The plant design is based on very cost-efficient modular reactor structures, which enable easy scalability and quick “plug-in” installation on site. The biogas plant utilizes biodegradable waste from municipalities, industries and agriculture as feedstock. The processes are continuously operated and fully automated.
Gasum Ltd., the leading Finnish natural gas and biogas company, launched an innovation competition in October 2014. The participants were to submit ideas to increase the use of gaseous vehicle fuels (natural gas and biomethane) in transportation. Our innovation called “BIOBOKSI: Biomethane cost-effectively for transportation use” was selected to the semi-finals out of 130 proposals in January 2015. In the beginning of March, “BIOBOKSI” was selected to the finals out of 10 semi-finalists. The winner of the innovation competition will be announced in June, 2015.
